On Friday 1 November, Sydney-based indie group Made in Japan will release their sophomore album Tame All Those Thoughts via MGM.
Lad singer and drummer James Cooney says that the album is “the most unique and honest material we’ve ever produced.”
The album was recorded and mixed in the band’s home studio, using their own laptops. Cooney describes the process in a letter as a freedom to “explore musical ideas without much hassle or cost” and that the new experience was “enlightening” and that the band enjoyed working in Cooney’s “granny flat”.
Check out one of their shows, supported by Melbourne-based indie group Neighbourhood Youth.
