Entering its third year, the Gasworks Spring Music Festival will feature the famous indigenous artist Archie Roach, and Rebecca Barnard of Rebecca’s Empire, among others.
The Gasworks Spring Musical Festival is a free event, which allows audiences to enjoy music within Gasworks’ four hectares of parkland. With such headliners as Archie Roach and Rebecca Barnard, it will be a highly enjoyable show to attend. With enjoyable music, relaxed atmosphere, and splendid scenery, there sounds like nothing could be better than to go down to Gasworks’ Spring Music Festival and enjoy the free music on a sunny afternoon.
Archie Roach’s performance is on Sunday the 17th of November. Archie Roach is one of Australia’s most famous indigenous musicians, who has been critically acclaimed worldwide. Famous tunes such as ‘They Took The Children Away’ received two Aria awards, whilst his album ‘Charcoal Lane’ was in the US Rolling Stone’s Top 50 albums for 1992.
Rebecca Barnard will be performing on Sunday the 24th of November. She was a leading member of the renowned Australian band Rebecca’s Empire, which appeared on Triple J’s Hottest 100 for three years in a row. This is highly impressive, considering the band has three EP’s and two full length albums. She also has a weekend segment on Triple J, and has also worked with numerous other Australian musicians such as Paul Kelly, Tim Rogers, TISM, The Audreys, The Meanies, You Am I, Renee Geyer and Deborah Conway.
