Hot off the metaphorical presses…
Fresh from her EP When The Winter Came, Perth newcomer Anna O is ready to impress. A fan of indie/pop artists such as Lorde and Kimbra, ‘Hibernation’ boasts a catchy melody, bold vocals and an instant hook.
She’s touring Australia, hitting up NSW, Victoria and Western Australia in June. There are even a few free shows there, so if you’re broke, you have no excuse.

Decidedly middle-aged, but still brilliant, the Hard-ons have announced the supports for their upcoming 30th anniversary tour of Australia, kicking off late May in Adelaide. They will be joined by special guests Cosmic Psychos.
The legendary punk/pop/metal/psych hybrid Sydney band made their first public appearance on the 21 July 1984 as teenage misfits, and will be celebrating their 30th anniversary this year. One would have expected the Hard-ons to be doomed from the start: a Croat, a Sri-Lankan and a Korean walk into a bar…sounds like the start of a vaguely racist joke, not the start of an underdog story in which the Sydney music scene (made up of “fascist punks” and “elitist indie snobs”) was rocked by a heady mix of punk, metal, garage, thrash and bubblegum pop.
To celebrate this milestone, the Hard-ons welcome the temporary return of original band member Keish de Silva to their band, and will take the stage as a four-piece, touring the breadth of Australia with songs requested by their fans through online poll. They will also be touting a new, two CD remaster/reissue set of their breakthrough album Yummy, as well as a split 7″ single with Australian jazz legends The Necks. Adding to that, they will also have three more split 7″ singles and a brand new album to release after the tour.

After making waves online earlier in the year with debut single ‘Planets’, Little Earthquake are now releasing their debut EP Brightside, with a support tour to match. Siblings Mathew and Justin Hyland were in bands together at school before touring as guest members of US indie rockers Lydia, when they started writing new content for what would become Little Earthquake.
