The Made in Melbourne Program is OUT!

If you talk to a Melbournian, chances are they’ll rave about arts and culture. It’s true we have some great festivals – I’m thinking the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, the Melbourne International Film Festival, the Melbourne Fringe Festival…the list is pretty long. But what makes the Made in Melbourne Film Festival so different is that (as you may have guessed already) they’re all made in Melbourne, and is the only exclusive celebration of local filmmaking.

This year, Made in Melbourne kicks off on Thursday 26 November, running through till Sunday 29 November. They’re taking over Backlot Studios for the first time, and are bringing a huge variety of films, audience voted awards, filmmaker Q&As and more.

We’re particularly keen for some of the feature films: The Heckler (dir. Ben Plazzer), about a stand-up whose body is hijacked by the spirit of a heckler, The Dream Children (dir. Robert Chuter), about a gay couple desperate to adopt a child, and Pretty Good Friends (dir. Sophie Townsend), dubbed Australia’s first mumblecore film, are all on sale now.

For the full program, to buy tickets, and for more information, check out the MiM website. We’ll see you on opening night!
