The week before Halloween, over 1,400 comic book shops will be giving away over 1 million free Halloween themed comics and mini-comics during Halloween ComicFest.

Diamond’s Director of Marketing, Dan Manser, said that there has been a 15% increase in the number of stores participating and comics ordered. “Halloween ComicFest is certainly growing in recognition and popularity as a Halloween tradition among comic and Halloween enthusiasts.”

Halloween ComicFest will take place on October 26th and 27th, with stores worldwide taking part. 22 free mini and full sized comics are being given out, including Adventure Time, Spider-Man and Batman. Different stores will be doing different things, so check out participating stores near you.

North American stores will also be participating in ‘The Greatest Halloween Costume Contest Ever’, where customers can submit their costume photos for the chance to win: www.halloweencomicfest.com/costumecontest.
